Alan George Lafley - Biography
Alan George Lafley, an American businessman, former chairman, president, and CEO of Procter & Gamble, was born on June 13, 1947, in Keene, New Hampshire. He completed his high school education at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, and obtained a bachelor's degree in arts from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York in 1969.
In 1970, Lafley joined the U.S. Navy as a supply officer and served in Vietnam. After his military service, he attended Harvard Business School and earned his MBA degree in 1977. Lafley joined Procter & Gamble after graduation and remained with the company until his retirement, climbing the corporate ladder and holding various positions.
Lafley is credited with revitalizing Procter & Gamble by focusing on billion-dollar brands such as Crest, Tide, and Pampers. A&g lafley divorce.
