Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Biography
Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna was a former chief minister of UP. Earlier he was a congress party leader, but later joined Bharatiya Lok Dal. Post independence period he played a major role in Trade Unions also. He became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in the year 1973 and was forced to resign the position after 2 years. He has been honored with “Proud Past Alumni" of Allahabad University. He married twice in his life.
Bahuguna was born on 25 April 1919 in a small village called Bughani in the district of Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand, as the son of Ravati Nandan Bahuguna, a village patwari. He studied in D.A.V. School and Messmore Inter College of Pauri Town. His higher studies was completed at Allahabad, Government Intermediate College.
