Dr. Girish Anand is a graduate of Dr. M.G.R. University, Christian Medical College, in Vellore, India, where he received a combined bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree. Following an internship and work in the Department of Hematology in Vellore, he came to the United States and completed his internship in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his residency there, he served as both Assistant Chief Resident and Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and served as Chief Fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology.
After completing a second fellowship in advanced therapeutics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Anand returned to Albert Dr. sanjeev anand.
